Commission for
I had a lot of fun doing this commission since this type of stuff is totally in my element, and =
A-Fire-Within left the character design and pose up to me.
The only request was a turqoise/red/orange/gold color scheme and a phoenix, so I had a blast designing the character with all that artist freedom

I really didn't know how to do fire though, so I kinda just winged it and hoped for the best. I hope it looks alright and that the commissioner will like this end product orz;;
To start of, I can see a lot of effort put in the fire. I say it looks extremely well done and life like! However, I can advise to make it fade to the background a bit more, it looks rather solid, but I do like the brightness of it! A bit more small spots of red or orange on around the phoenix doesn't hurt either : D. Well that's what I can say from going to a lot of campfires LOL.
I enjoy the color scheme too, both the girl and the fire can be easily distinguished! I like how you faded the teal color at the end of her dress. It gives it a wonderful look and its a rather eye catching detail here 8D
The only thing I can see that needs improvement could be the end of her legs. Seems rather thin compared to her feet, but it can be overcomes with alot of practice, right? XD. Though I still think the anatomy is pretty good, and that's the only minor flaw I can see C:
Again, a marvelous piece of detailed work! I hope to see even more from you soon 8D
The anatomy's all pretty fair, I think her arms and wrist area are a bit small proportioned to her body, her ankles as well, but the rest looks great!
The hair is perfect to match the pose of the girl. As are the details in the picture, from the bells to the lace-like linings of the sleeves. I love the amount of details in al of your art, this one does seem to lack a bit, but it's still beautiful.
The fire is beautiful for someone who may not be experienced in the field, it looks too solid to be a real fire, and there isn't as much of a flow most fires I see. However, the colours are wonderful and the phoenix still looks beautiful, it almost matches the way the girl is posed.
Overall, colour choice and position of everything is gorgeous and well drawn. The few faults there are are minor and sometimes unnoticable, so brilliant job!
