Will be sold as a small print at Anime Expo '10! My table is B17 \o/
Miku from the music video, Melt [link] I thought the mv was really cute ;3; Her outfit is a bit plain in there, so I redesigned her clothes with the same general idea. I had a blast with bright colors here and the gradients in the background was really fun to do, but sadly a lot of the shades got lost through scanning orz;;
asd;flksflkd 7 more days until AX, maybe I can finish another small print in time ;;;
I personally love this peice every peice in your gallery I adore, but this one has some faults that I thought I should bring up just for this peice; Pros: This is absolutely stunning, the colours blend very well, and the way you work with copics are the kind of artwork that encourage people (like myself) to get more or try out copics, which is one of the greatest things you could ever acheive with your skills, the backround simplicity is a very good touch, the raindrops are a fascinatig touch. And Miku's mordern outfit really brings out the theme.
Cons; They're are very few faults with this illustration, but they are a few rather small ones that could be fixed for future reference. I don't know if it's just the shape of her hair that makes it look like it; but her head and forehead looks slightely large, it might just be the small pigtails that make it look so large in contrast but thats just how it looks in my opinion. Another fault is I noticed if you compare, the boots are a little large for her small skinny legs. I don't know if this was intentional but just pointing it out.
Other then those small flaws this drawing is amazing, you blew me away once again. Keep up the great work~
You know something, I have to say that what grabbed my attention first and foremost was the blue shadowing you included in this deviation. To me, it brings depth and increases realism in the picture. I know this isn't a realism image though but you get the idea. This makes me melt. Well, anyway.. the drawing was done quite nicely and she seems to have such a humble pose with a delicate smile on her face. From the coloring to the umbrella to the rain.. the entire composition works wonderfull and I really think you did a wonderful job here. Nice piece.
