This is my first actual drawing of 2009 since the last two were CG practices. My tablet's pretty spiffy, but nothing beats the feeling of a sqeaky, smelly marker in your hand :>

I drew this on an adrenaline rush yesterday night. I sat at my desk working for 7 hours straight and time felt like it passed in by a blink. This is one of those rare times when a drawing goes so smoothly from a concept in my mind onto a sheet of paper. It was exhilarating, just to sit there and and draw little balloons and cracks on the concrete.

I won't elaborate on the theme or meaning since I'm sure you guys can come up with one for yourself.

Cheers to a new year!

Materials: Copic sketch markers, airbrush, PS for editing.
Time: 7 hours.

Also, I like how you put happy thoughts in the balloons, while the girl is sad and heartbroken in reality. :)
